How Steven came up
Steven is a third-generation builder. His grandfather framed houses, his dad framed houses, and he framed snowball stands... then houses. He learned the trades the hard way. And the wide way. Carpentry, flooring, tile, drywall, framing, paint, and plumbing. Everything from a single bathroom tear-out to a full custom build. The work teaches you something an office never does. Quality is what still stands in ten years, integrity is what matters, and people remember how you treated them long after they forget the invoice.

The office side
After the tools came the paperwork. Steven wrote estimates for general contractors, ran roofing crews as a project manager, and handled insurance scope and supplements for adjusting firms. That stretch taught him the other half of a business: how the money actually moves, how a job gets sold, and how a small operation lives or dies on whether the phone rings. He sat with owners who did everything right in the field and still struggled, because nobody could find them.
The best builders I knew were invisible online.

Why Steven started building websites
The web work started because the businesses around him were in need, but couldn't always justify the expense. Most couldn't afford a real marketing team, and the agencies they could afford didn't understand how a local business runs day-to-day. So he started building their sites, handling social media, and running their ads himself. The first ones were on Wix and Squarespace, because... where else? They held up until a client wanted their site to connect to the other software they used, and that is where those closed platforms hit a wall. That wall is a big part of why Dynamic Promotion exists. Steven builds on an open stack he operates for you, so your site can talk to the tools you already rely on.

What we don't emphasize here is his work on affiliate sites, his published books, his role as a husband and father, the strange toolbox of skills and lessons he picked up along the way. Yet all of it, every trade he learned, every estimate he wrote, every owner he sat across from, was preparation.
